Yes! to Canada, When Grampa Refused to Fight in the Vietnam War
Beautifully illustrated 52 page book. 9x9 inches, spiral bound softcover. Full colour. By Roger Davies, Watercolours by Inae Kim
This is a Canadian history book—but with a difference. It doesn’t try to map out in hundreds of pages everything that happened, as if a person could see from a distance everything in the past.
The book is what a grandfather, who came to Canada from the United States because he refused to be drafted to fight in Vietnam in 1968, would want his grandchildren to know about those times. The grandfather and grandson are invented characters, but the content is about real things that really happened, and the book is filled with quotations from real people.
